Campus is (comparatively) quiet again, a few weeks after a weekend of old friends, new connections and rekindled love for the College. We were there too, spreading the word about The Gale in conversation and in less obvious ways, too. Let’s recap:
On Friday morning, we sent 116 emails and saw 67% of them opened by the time the weekend was over. It’s not much, in the grand scheme of web engagement, but it doesn’t need to be.
On Saturday, we placed 200 tiny little calling cards all over campus, which brought http://www.thegale.org 159 visitors and 351 page views. The most popular pages besides the front page were how to help and our frequently asked questions.
The next day, the word was still spreading. More people saw The Gale on Sunday than they did on Saturday. Thank you.
There’s nothing like Homecoming to remind us of the best things about the College of William & Mary. The Gale is here to make sure nobody forgets.
